Destiny 2s Trials of Osiris game mode will not be available this weekend, as most players had hoped. In fact, the competitive PvP mode wont have its first weekend in the Destiny 2: Beyond Light era until the weekend of Nov. 27.
On Thursday evening, the Bungie Help Twitter account posted that Trials of Osiris was cancelled until Nov. 27, due to a recently discovered issue.
Hate to see it, but this was necessary. A bug was identified that would negatively impact the competitive experience. As such, we’ve decided to push the first Trials weekend back to Nov 27.

Senior community manager dmg04 confirmed that the bug would have a negative impact on the competitive experience. While we are not sure which bug Bungie is referring to here, some players discovered a way to use the new Winters Wrath Super indefinitely which seems like a pretty good reason to cancel Trials to us.
Bungie didnt update the Trials of Osiris armor this season, but it did add Adept weapons to the mix. These are slightly revamped versions of the normal Trials weapons, but they only come from a Flawless ticket. As a bonus, they offer a special mod slot where players can increase their weapons stats.
Players will need to wait to get their hands on these fancy Adept weapons until Nov. 27, a week after the Beyond Light raids launch date.
